Aisles

For safety and as a courtesy to other fans, please help keep the aisles clear at all times. We ask that all fans refrain from standing, sitting or dancing in the aisles.

Alcohol Management

Toronto Metropolitan University, Mattamy Athletic Centre, and TMU Eats are dedicated to promoting responsible alcohol beverage sales and consumption in the venue. 

RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING ALCOHOL MANAGEMENT: 

  • Each guest can purchase only two (2) alcoholic beverages at a time.

  • Any person purchasing, possessing, or consuming alcohol must be 19 years of age or older and be able to produce a valid photo ID proving their age.

  • Our policy is to ID anyone appearing under the age of 25.

  • Acceptable forms of photo identification include a valid driver’s license; Age of Majority Card; Armed Forces Card; Passport; Canadian Citizenship Card; Canadian Permanent Resident Card; Native Status card

  • Any guest who produces false identification or who passes alcohol to a minor will be subject to charges and removal from the premises.

  • Guests may not bring outside alcohol into the Mattamy Athletic Centre, and they cannot leave the venue with any alcohol purchased within the building.

  • Any person found inside the venue with alcohol not purchased inside the Mattamy Athletic Centre is subject to immediate removal from the premises.

  • A person cannot enter the building in an intoxicated state.

  • Any guest found intoxicated within the venue or causing a disturbance as determined by security, management or event staff will be asked to leave the venue without a refund.

ALCOHOL SERVICE CUT-OFF TIMES:

  • Basketball: start of 4th quarter of play

  • Volleyball: start of 5th set of play or earlier due to score

  • Hockey: start of 3rd period of play

  • Concert/non-sporting events: 1 hour prior to scheduled end time, or at the discretion of Management

Animals

Animals or pets are not permitted at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Service Animals are welcomed. Fans entering our venue with a service animal will be required to provide documentation upon request.

Bag Policy

To protect our fans, employees and team and to align with league and tour standards, a restricted bag policy is in place at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Permitted bags include bags that are clear plastic and do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”, and small clutch bags that cannot exceed 6” x 9” in size (with or without a handle or strap).

Posters

Posters and signs must not exceed 22”x28” (Poster Board) in size. Posters and signs must not distract, or interfere with the view of other fans and must not be obscene or vulgar in nature. They must not cover permanent signage or block broadcast cameras. Fans are not permitted to use or wave banners, signs or other items that are affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic or any other hard material.

Broken Seats

If your seat is broken, please notify the nearest staff member or call/text 437-227-0099 for assistance or email us at fixthemac@torontomu.ca. Please include the section, row, and seat number when you contact us.

In the event that your seat cannot be fixed during the event, our Guest Services team will relocate you to alternative seats.

Cannabis Policy

The Mattamy Athletic Center has a strict no smoking policy. This includes, cigarettes, cigars, vapes and any form of cannabis including edibles. Smoking of any kind will result in ejection from the venue.

Camera Policy

No flash photography is permitted at any time during events at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Lenses must not exceed 75mm. Video cameras are not permitted.

Cancelled/Postponed Events

If an event is cancelled/postponed information about refunds/rescheduling can be found by emailing our box office at mactickets@torontomu.ca.

Coat Check

The Mattamy Athletic Centre does not offer coat check services.

Defibrillators

The Mattamy Athletic Centre is equipped with several defibrillators throughout the facility.

Duplicate Ticket Policy

We recommend that you obtain your tickets for Mattamy Athletic Centre events from Ticketmaster or through our Box Office. We cannot guarantee the legitimacy of tickets purchased from third-parties. Counterfeit/invalid tickets will not be honoured. Any fan who, knowingly or unknowingly, gains entry using invalid tickets will be subject to ejection without compensation.

Elevators/Escalators

Elevators are available in the southwest corner of all floors of the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Escalators connect Level 100 to Level 200, Level 200 to Level 300 and Level 300 to Level 400. Each level is equipped with one escalator. The direction of travel of the escalators is determined by the timing of the event. Escalators will be travelling downwards at the end of each event to assist with egress.

Gate Times

Gates Open 1 hour prior to puck drop or tip off.

Special Event gate times vary between events. Please check the event page for details.

PWHL Gates open 1 hour prior to puck drop.

Guest Services

A Guest Services representative is available on-site at all ticketed events at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Our Guest Services desk is located on the 4th floor of the building. We can also be reached at any time during an event by calling or texting 437-227-0099.

Housekeeping

If you notice a spill or other housekeeping concern while at Mattamy Athletic Centre, please let us know. You may notify the nearest staff member, email us at fixthemac@torontomu.ca, or call/text us at 437-227-0099.

ID Accepted For Alcohol Purchasing and Consumption

Acceptable forms of photo identification include a valid driver’s licence; Age of Majority Card; Armed Forces Card; Passport; Canadian Citizenship Card; Canadian Permanent Resident Card; Native Status card.

Laser Pointers

There is a zero-tolerance policy for laser pointers at all games and events. Any fan caught with a laser pointer will be ejected from the facility.

Lost and Found

Please reach out to our Guest Services representative at 437-227-0099 if you think you may have lost something while on site at the event. Any items that have been turned in will be located at the Guest Services desk on the 4th floor of the venue. After events are completed, all lost items will be housed at the Fitness Centre reception desk on the 2nd floor.

Outside Food and Drink

No outside food and drink are permitted at events at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Paramedics

Paramedics are onsite and available to fans. Please notify the nearest staff member for assistance.

Parking

The Mattamy Athletic Centre does not have event parking. Parking underneath the Mattamy Athletic Centre is restricted to Loblaws customers only. Additional Parking information can be found here.

Outside food and beverage

Air horns 

External alcoholic beverages and or illegal drugs.

Sticks, selfie sticks and or retractable poles or devices (including signs attached to a stick).

Laser pens.

Glass Bottles.

Reusable bottles larger than 600ml.

Projectiles that can cause injury or disruption during a game or event.

Frisbees, beach balls and or other inflatable objects.

Brooms.

Weapons and/or knives (including pocket knives.

Fireworks.

Squirt Guns.

Stools or folding/ collapsible chairs.

Full costume face masks that conceal a person’s face.

Oversized costumes, mascot apparel.

Clothing with offensive and/or inappropriate language or statements.

Skateboards and rollerblades.

Helium balloons.

Public Transportation

Fans may take the Yonge/University subway line to College Station, which is within walking distance to the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Call the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) for more information at (416)393-INFO (4636) or visit ttc.ca.

Pucks

Any pucks that enter the stands during TMU Bold or PWHL hockey games may be kept by the fan who catches them. The Mattamy Athletic Centre has protective netting in place at each end of the rink, however, fans are advised to stay alert as pucks can enter the stands at any time. If a fan is hit by a puck and requires medical attention please let the closest usher know.

Re-Entry

There is no re-entry for events at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. Once you leave the venue you will not be permitted back inside during the event.

Searches

Wanding and bag check will be performed during ingress on an event by event basis.

Security

The Mattamy Athletic Centre has event security personnel present during all events.

Smoking

The Mattamy Athletic Centre is a smoke-free facility. Please note: anyone found smoking or vaping inside the facility will be immediately ejected and subject to the maximum fines as per Ontario's Smoke-Free Act.

Venue Code of Conduct

Strollers

Strollers are not permitted at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.

Ticketing

Each person attending an event must produce a valid event ticket, pass or authorized credential for that event or game. Once a fan has exited the building, they are not allowed re-entry into the facility.

Valid tickets for TMU Bold varsity games consist of: (i) physical tickets distributed by Ticketmaster and TMU Bold; (ii) valid TMU OneCards for students and staff; and (iii) “mobile tickets” displayed on a mobile device using the applicable team’s or Ticketmaster’s mobile application, mobile version of the team or Ticketmaster website, or within a phone’s Apple/Android wallet.

Valid tickets for external events consist of: (i) physical tickets distributed by Ticketmaster and TMU Bold; and (ii) “mobile tickets” displayed on a mobile device using the applicable team’s or Ticketmaster’s mobile application, mobile version of the team or Ticketmaster website, or within a phone’s Apple/Android wallet.

Accessible Seating
We strive to make it as easy as possible to purchase accessible seating tickets at the Mattamy Athletic Centre. We offer multiple accessible seating areas to better accommodate our guests. In saying this, it is important to remember that availability and type of accessible seating tickets will vary based on our policy and/or the type of event taking place.

Accessible seating areas are solely for persons with disabilities and their companions.

By purchasing an accessible seating ticket through Ticketmaster, you agree to the following: The ticket will be used only by a person with a disability and his/her companion. A ticket holder may be denied entry to or removed from an accessible seating area if he or she or the legitimate companion does not have a disability. If this occurs, Mattamy Athletic Centre shall have no obligation to provide alternate seating. If Ticketmaster or the event provider believes, in its sole discretion, that your order violates or may violate this policy, Ticketmaster may cancel your order without notice.

Obstructed Seating
Relative to the playing or performing area, obstructed seats have limited sightlines due to some type of obstruction (i.e. equipment, building apparatus, cable drop, etc.). In this case, the view will be limited and there may not be a clear view of the entire playing or performing area.

Standing Room Tickets

Availability of standing room tickets vary on an event by event basis, but will be located at the top of Sections E2, E4, E5, E7, W2, and W7. These tickets will indicate a seat number however this is only to direct fans where to stand, there will be no chairs provided in this section.

Will Call

Will Call location varies on an event by event basis and will be communicated to ticket holders in advance of the event.
